Choosing Your Affliates

All sites want lots of affliates. That way your site will be promoted around the internet which means more popularity, traffic, and people eager to use your graphics. But how do you choose good affliates? This guide will teach you just how.

Wow! Someone just applied to be affliates! That means your site is getting more popular! Cool dude! Before you automatically say,"YES!" think about this. Would you really want to be affliates with a bad site? I wouldn't! First, make sure you have rules right before your affliate form. Then you should first check out the site and make sure they meet all the rules. If they don't, no matter how much you like their site, you should say no. Sometimes this can be hard because you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Go through their Chat-Box (if they have one) and make sure no one has posted anything bad. If someone has, you should contact the site telling them to take down the Chat-Box. Go through the news and make sure there is no swearing or inappropriate pictures. If there is, tell the owner of the site to get rid of the staff member. Then, go through the graphics pages. Look at the quality of the graphics, the words on the graphics, and make sure they didn't steal. Also make sure the site isn't on someone's Wall of Shame. You can get in serious trouble for that. Some black-listed sites are here. Make sure the site hasn't stolen anything. Look at every page. If they have a counter, see if they told you the number of hits correctly. Some do, some don't. Honest sites are the best sites to affliate with!
