Intro

What is HTML? HTML is the code to success.....well, actually it's the code to create websites. You can also use this for Neopets.You will learn just a few basic codes below.

Horizontal Ruler

The first thing to learn is how to make a horizontal ruler. It doesn't have inches or centimeters on it, it is a divider.

It looks like this:

I know it isn't very exciting, but you should learn it.

This is very helpful when making a website.

You can't really see this but I'll try to show it to you.

This is where I am now.
When I put the code in, my text shows up here.

It's very easy. It just takes you down a line as if you press the enter button. That brings me to another thing. When working with HTML, if you are typing something and you want to type on the line below it, pressing the Enter button on your key board will NOT get you to the next line on your page. So, you must type the code that is below.

Marquee

Marquee is a exciting thing to do! It makes your text scroll..........

It's not as hard as it looks but you must get the code right!

A Link

This is something you must learn when creating a website. You need to learn how to link to other pages on your site or something like that.

Your code is as follows.

<a href="the site address">Words you want people to see and click on</a>

The orange part can NEVER change at all or the link won't work.
The purple part is the place the link is going to.
The light color is the word or phrase you want people to click on.

For example:
